Lynette, Ben and Jade and families would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following the loss of Bruce, a much loved husband, dad, father in law and granddad. The visits, flowers, baking, cards and the hugs that said so much, were greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the Gore District Nurses and Hospice Southland staff for your care of Bruce. To celebrant Sharron from Macdonald and Weston your kindness and compassion shown to our family during this journey we appreciate and thank you. Please accept this as our personal thanks to you all.

Died peacefully at home on Wednesday February 26, 2025.  Aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Glenys.  Cherished father and father-in- law of Jane and Stu Brown, Paul and Caoimhe, Emma, and Kate. Loving grandfather of Will and Xavier; Niamh, Sean, and Liam; and Mila. Loved brother of the late Peter and the late John.  Loved brother-in-law of David and Lexie O’Shea and the late Ronald. A funeral service will be held at St Theresa of Lisieux church, Perth St, Invercargill at 1pm Monday March 3. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. Messages to 115 George St, Invercargill. JOHNSTONE, Owen Thomas:
(late of Isla Bank) Passed away peacefully at Vickery Court on Tuesday 25th February 2025, aged 83 years. Loved son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth. Loved brother and brother in law of Lyndsay and Beverley*, Norrie* and Val Johnstone. Dear friend of Valerie Grant. Loved Uncle of his nieces and nephews. As per Owen’s wishes a private graveside service has been held. Family sincerely thank the staff of Waikiwi Gardens and Vickery Court for their care and compassion of Owen. A ‘ Gathering ’ for Owen will be held on Wednesday 5th March, 2pm at the Drummond Bowling Club. 08.07.1946 to 23.02.2025 Agnes was laid to rest under the mountains and stars in Glenorchy. Loved wife and first mate of John. Mum and Mother-in-Law of Billie & Mick (Les) Bower, Keri King & Daryl Sanderson, Aimee & Paul Bryan, Campbell & Raewyn King. Loved Mamus to her Grandchildren and their partners Emily & Adam, Jeremy, Jacinta & Marc, Sarah & George, Shelby & Tyler, Jordan, & Bailey. Much loved by her two greats Tucker, & Grayson. On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Les passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Mary. Treasured father and father-in-law of Gary; Wayne and Teena (Australia); and Kevin and Kerren. Adored Pops of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sincere thanks to the staff at Rowena Jackson for their care and compassion for Les. A private graveside service for family and friends will be held to honour his memory.
