Peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in her 102nd year, in the loving care of the staff at Ranui Enliven Care Home, Alexandra. Dearly loved wife of the late Henry, loved mother and mother-in-law of Doug and the late Helen (Bundaberg, Australia), Diane and Bob Dawson (Alexandra), Errol and Jenny (Gold Coast, Australia). Loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. In keeping with Dulcie’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Messages to 39 Bringans Street, Alexandra 9320.
COOK, Robert Malcolm (Bob):
(Of Tanner Street, Invercargill).
Bob passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, 30 March 2023, in the care of staff at Southland Hospital, with his family at his side; aged 67 years. Much loved son of the late Frank and Helena. Younger brother and brother-in-law of Hendy and Fiona, Isabel and Murray Brown. Loved special uncle of Ainsley, Maurice and Amelia, Douglas and Amy, and Andrew, and their children. A very special thank you to the staff at the Southland Hospital and the support from management and staff of Geo Wilson and Sons Limited. A service for Bob will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill, on Tuesday, 4 April, at 1.30pm. Interment to follow at the Riverton Cemetery. DWYER, Thomas Michael (Tom):
Passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023, at Ultimate Care Bishop Selwyn. A dearly loved son of the late Margaret and Philip Dwyer. A much loved brother and brother-in-law of Elaine and Tiny O’Neil (dec), Doreen (dec) and Des Casey, Jean and the late David McRae. Loved and respected uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and a friend who is loved by many. Messages c/- the Dwyer family to 78 Brisbane Street, Waltham, Christchurch 8023. At Tom’s request a private cremation has been held. A memorial service for Tom will be held at a later date in Balfour and Christchurch.
HOFFMAN, Margaret Elsie:
Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday 23 March 2023 at Elloughton Gardens, Timaru. Aged 93 years. Loved wife of late Gordon Hoffman. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Grant, Lynette, Paul and Tania, and Dale and Jill. Loved grandmother and great grandmother of her 15 grandchildren and gg to her 8 great grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Dorothy and late Vic Hubber, Doug and Jenny Beck, Anne and late Russell Beck, Graham and late Mavis Malcolm, late Jean and Wallace Chilton, also the late Roddy and Jeanette Hoffman, Bruce and Beth Hoffman, and all her nephews and nieces. A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Monday 3 April. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery.
