Passed away peacefully at his home in Whangarei surrounded by family. A Memorial for both Jim and Allison (his late wife), will be held at the Centre Hill Cemetery, Mossburn, on Sunday March 5, 2023 at 11am where both their ashes will be interred. Refreshments will follow at the Mossburn Railway Hotel, 16 York Street, Mossburn. Special thanks to North Haven Hospice who assisted Helen, along with Ian and Janene, Jim’s children, in caring for him in the last 5 days of his life. We take this opportunity to welcome all friends and family who knew both Allison and Jim to celebrate their life and unite them at this beautiful Cemetery.
ERAMIHA, Mark Kiri:
Passed away on Thursday 16 February 2023; aged 65 years. The Best father and father-in-law of Shinee Young and Brandon, and Campbell Ward, loving Grandfather of Jax, Zoe, Ryland, Jordan, and Eviana. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Steve, Hana, Pouri and Gary, Vincent and Heather, loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Shane passed away peacefully at the St Andrew’s Hospital Brisbane aged 56, with his loving mother and loved wife at his side. Eldest and loved son of Trish and the late Stewart Gutschlag (Gore). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Richard and Rachael Gutschlag (Gore), and Michele and Francis Bastiaansen (Alexandra). Much loved uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many. Loved husband of Katrina Gutschlag and Step-Dad of Bri and Maddy, Gladstone Australia. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 24, at 1.00pm, Port Curtis Cemetery, Gladstone, Australia. GUTSELL, Mervyn Edward:
Merv passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 14, 2023 at Southland Hospital aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Sydney, much loved father and father-in-law of Brendan and Rob, Darryn and Sandy, Stefan and Rachel, loved Grandad of Keely and Brendan, Lucas, and Amyee; Hayden and Ryan. Of Cromwell. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on February 17, 2023, aged 62. Dearly loved wife of Gerry. After a long battle, the family are sad to announce the passing of David Hugh (Barrie) McHaffie, of Gore (Formerly of Popotunoa, Clinton), on February 14, 2023. Dearly loved husband to the late Helen, father and father-in-law to Scott and Alison, Jeff and Tracey, Terry and Heidi, Paul and Nicole, and a proud grandad to his 11 grandchildren. Special thanks to all those involved with his care throughout the past 16 years.

Lynn passed peacefully at Southland Hospice on Sunday 12 February, 2023, aged 77. Beloved and cherished wife of William “Duncan” Plunkett. Mother of Kaylene Shelley, taken from them sadly on 20 December, 1973. Dearly loved by all of the extended Plunkett and Haywood families. Lynn is now at rest after a private service.

After a huge battle, Kevin passed away peacefully, at Dunedin Hospital, on Friday, February 17, 2023, aged 63 years. Cherished husband and friend of the late Genny, dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Kathryn and Les, Brian and Barb, Red and Susan, the late Peter, Terry and Jules, Chris and Vikki, Teresa, Joe and Victoria, Damien and Kay, and a much loved colourful and entertaining Uncle of his nephews and nieces.
