(Formerly of Nelson Creek, Edendale, Stoke and Gore). Elvie passed away peacefully at Ribbonwood Country Home, Tapanui, on Monday, May 8, 2023, aged 84 years. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Sharyn and Dexter Nind (Waitane), Judy and John Stiven (Tapanui), Donna and Barrie Andrews (Timaru), and Debbie and Steve Bradley (Tapanui). A loved fun Nana of Adam, Kristy, Rebecca and Amy Nind, David and Scott Stiven, Kate Thompson and the late Lee Stiven, Michael and Hayden Andrews, Shaun, Danae and Ryan Bradley and their partners. Treasured Grannie Elvie of her 13 great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of Fred* and Alva* Butcher (Ngahere), and sister of Noeline* and Richard Mahauariki (Harihari), Bev and Terry* Hogg (Rangiora), Pam and John Murphy (Richmond) and Sue and Kevin Neame (Brisbane). Loved one-of-a-kind aunty of her nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held on Mother’s Day to celebrate Elvie’s life. COARD, Jean Elizabeth:
In the care of Rowena Jackson on Tuesday 9 May 2023. Dearly loved wife of Bill*, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Pamela and John* Taylor, and Brian*, Robyne* and Davie* Hyde, Ian and Carol*, David, Mary and Ronnie Maxwell, Allison and Paul Turner, Douglas*, and Jocelyn Potter. Loved and treasured Nana of her 15 Granchildren, her 26 great Grandchildren, and her 2 great great Grandchildren. A loved sister and aunty to many. COOK, Robert Malcolm (Bob): 1955 – 2023:
Hendy, Fiona, Isabel, Murray and families would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kindness of flowers, baking, food, cards and messages of support that we received following the loss of Bob. Thank you to all those who attended Bob’s service and those who watched it on live stream. A special thank you to Geo W Wilson & Sons Management & Staff who participated in Bob’s final farewell and also those who spoke so fondly of Bob and shared their memories. JENKINS, Deborah Anne (Debs):
On Monday, May 8, 2023, tragically at Christchurch; aged 56 years. Loving mother of Shania and Jay. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Alberta and David (Sydney), Marion (Invercargill), Janet and Bob (Rangiora), Darryl and Julia (Invercargill), Sonia, Harold and Alana. McBRIDE, Desmond Frederick (Des):
Peacefully after a short illness on May 10, 2023, at Clutha Views Lifecare, Balclutha, with his girls at his side; in his 86th year. Loving partner and companion of Irene Black for 32 years, father of Craig, Sally and their families (Westport), a dear friend of Dot and Cocoa, and Irene’s family. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ken (Mossburn), *Patricia McBride, *John and *Margaret, *Kit and *Dave Harraway, *Jim and *Val, and a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Loved second Dad to the Anderson and McBeath families (Wyndham and Edendale). After a strong fought battle Jock passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 11th May 2023 aged 61 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Julien.
