Peacefully, at Golden View Care, Cromwell, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Cherished wife of Ray, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Claire and Udo (London), Kathryn and Matthew (Hong Kong), Bonnie and Neil (Melbourne), and dearly loved Nanny of Elsie and Charlotte. Much loved sister, sister-in-law, and Aunty of all her extended family. A much loved friend of Grace and a very much loved and respected “Jossy” of her many, many loyal and devoted friends. In accordance with Joc’s wishes private cremation will be held. An informal celebration of Joc’s life will be held at Bannockburn Hall, on Tuesday, January 23, from 2.00pm. Special thanks to all at Golden View for their wonderful care and kindness to Joc over the last two years.

HAYES, Neville Irving (Nev):
Peacefully at home on Thursday, 11th January 2024, aged 69 years. Dearly loved partner of Vicki and much-loved dad and best friend of Jarn, and Clélia and father-in-law of Chris. Adored Grandad of Levi. Loved brother of Judy and loved son of the late Norman and Gwen. A service to celebrate Nev’s life will be held in the Ascot Park Hotel Complex, Corner Racecourse and East Roads, Invercargill on Tuesday, 16th January at 2:00pm. McKENZIE, Bryant Luke – Bman:
Bryant passed away in his sleep unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday 11th January 2024, aged 20 years. Self appointed favourite son of David and Fiona. Cheeky and fun-loving brother of Kim and Nathan, Ash and Alyse, Trent and Bex. Fun Uncle Bman to Ava, Jorja, Harry; Abby, Luke; Flynn, Eliza, and Rowan. Cherished grandson of David and Frances Stewart. Loved nephew of Bronwyn and Darryl, Blair and Christine, Carolyn and Mike, Kellan and Fi. Special cousin of Ben and Kaz, Finn, Cam, Lauchie and Tahlia. Special mate to da Bois and many others. A service to celebrate the life of Bryant will be held at Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill on Friday 19th January at 10.30am. McKINNEL, Susan Mary:
Known by her friends as Sue, passed away at Auckland Mercy Hospice on 16th December 2023 aged 69 years, after a hard-fought battle with illness. Sue had her two loving children by her side. She joins her late husband Paul John Peter McKinnel, and her parents Mary Patricia and Keith Goldie Murphy. Our mother was a special woman, a great friend, a loving wife and an amazing mum, she has left a void in our hearts and is missed beyond words. A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, 19th January at 10:00am. Messages to McKinnel Family, PO Box 1345, Invercargill 9840.

TILY, Edna:
(late of Milton). Passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023, at Holmdene, Balclutha. Loved wife of the late William David, dearly loved Mum of Barbara and Derek Collins (Sydney), Wendy and Steve McLay (Milton), David and Jean (Invercargill), Stephen and Rose (Dunedin), loved Nana of her 6 grandchildren and great-Nana of her 8 great-grandchildren.

TYSSEN, Dianne June:
Dianne passed away peacefully at home on her terms looking out to the garden, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday 11th January 2024 at 11.45am, aged 71 years. Dearly loved wife of Hans. Loved daughter of Mervyn* and June* Coutts. Wonderful and much-loved sister and sister-in-law of Pamela and Stephen Rogers, Paul and Pa, and Richard* and Sandra. Adored Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held at the Southland Kennel Association, 120 Kennington Road, Kennington, on Thursday 18th January at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Please wear casual and bright colours.
