Of Riverton, Deb died peacefully after a short illness on April 5th, 2025, at Hospice Southland. Loved wife of Vaughan. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Roxy and Steve, loved Nana of Jack and Sadie (Melbourne). Many thanks to the compassionate staff at Hospice Southland for their love and care. Peacefully on April 11,2025 at Resthaven, Gore; in her 94th year. Much loved daughter of the late Myrtle and Edwin de Terte and stepdaughter of the late Ray. Loved and devoted wife of the late Robert (Bob) Hastie, adored mother and mother-in-law of Bruce and Donna, Euan and Rosemary, Adele, Lee Ann, Andrew and Marzie, loved and cherished Grandma Bee and great Grandma Bee of Lisa, Bradley, Rebecca, Anna, John, Michael, Connor, Ethan, Izac, Shelby, Bella, Toby, Jacob, Ellie, Grace, Jayne, Aria, and Marley. Suddenly but peacefully after a brave battle on Saturday 5th April 2025. Aged 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Graham Shaw. Loved companion of Mike Raman. Caroline is a very loved mother of Tania, Sonya, Shane, Mark and Ilenie. Cherished nana, great nana, and sister. Unexpectedly passed away at Southland Hospital with her family by her side, on Thursday 10th April 2025, aged 78 years. Loved daughter of Steve and Connie Kokay. Wife of the late Barry Thomas. Loved Mother and mother in law of Katrina and James, Glenn and Tracy, and Suzzanne and Shane. Loved Nanna Thomas of Stephen, Sarah, Andy; Jed, Flynn and Bree; and Lachlan; Loved Great Nanna Thomas of Katie, Jayden, Bailey, Annabelle, Jack, Madison, Sophie, Lee*, Izahbella, Carson, and Lincoln. Sadly, Neil passed away at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill, on Thursday 10 April 2025. In his 88th year. Dearly loved husband of Sylvia for 66 years. Much loved, cheeky Dad and Dad-in-law of Nigel and Ann, Deidre and Barry MacKay, Andrea and Todd, Mark and Sarah. Dearly loved Grandad of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Wayne and Bobbie, Jill* and Charlie* Dawson. Special thanks to the wonderful caring staff at the Salisbury Wing at Rowena Jackson for their care of Neil.
