Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday 7 October 2023, surrounded with family. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Graham Bell. Much loved Mum of Pauline and Jack Fisher, Tony and Donna Murchison, Robin Thomsen and Ian Paulin, John, Brian, and the late Jimmy. Much loved Nana and Great Nana of all her grandchildren and Great grandchildren. A service for Moira will be held on Wednesday 11 October 2023, 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. KERERU, Olive Glenise (nee Munro): died 6 October 2023.
Dearly loved wife of the late Dinby (Hitler) Kereru, mother to Stuart and Keri, Brent and the late Diane; grandmother to Alesha, Quintin Carin, Gerrard, Dinby, Hana-Lee, Jade, Naeri and all her great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Olive’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Tuesday, 10 th October at 1:00pm, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. Dearly loved wife of the late Dinby Kereru, daughter of the late Laura and Jack Munro and treasured sister and sister-in-law of Stuart and Ann Munro, the late Dorathea and Maurice Butson and Barry Wilson, Alan and Clare (Biddy), Celia (Margaret) and Pat McCauley, Billy and Thelma Munro, Alistair and Elaine Munro, Ian and June Munro, Donald, Neville and Beverly, and Thomas Taumata.

MORTIMER, James Ernest (Jim):
1953 – 2023. Sadly, Jim passed away on Friday 6th October surrounded by family at Bupa Ascot Care Home. Loving husband of the late Jan Mortimer, much loved father and father-in-law of Lisa, Rachael, Kim, David and Jess. Devoted Grandad and Da to Sofia and Josiah, Maddy, Noah and Gabe, Ella, Jacob and Mikayla. Loved and respected brother of Kevin, Margaret and Kayleen as well as many nieces and nephews, and precious son of Jim and Kath. Treasured friend of Alex. Jim will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A service to celebrate Jim’s rich life will be held in the Avenal Park Funeral Home, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, 11th October at 1:00pm followed by a wake at The Ave Sports Bar, Avenal Street after a private cremation. TURNER, Marion Charlotte Murray:
Peacefully at BUPA Ascot Rest Home on Tuesday, 3 October 2023, in her 91st year. Dearly loved wife of the late Wally Turner. Cherished mum and mother-in-law of Patricia and Alan Morton, Marie and Stephen. Adored grandma of Debra and Jason*, Dale and Rob, great grandma to Luke, and great nan to Elijah. Loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend of her extended family. At Marion’s request, a private cremation has been held. A memorial service for Marion will be held in the Invercargill Working Men’s Club, Esk Street on Tuesday, 10 th October at 2:00pm Marion’s family would like to thank the staff of BUPA Ascot for their wonderful care of Marion and her family.
