On Friday, May 5, 2023, peacefully in his sleep, at home with his family, in his 82nd year. Dearly loved husband of Elsa, much loved father and father-in-law of Gary and Sarndra (Te Taho), Leanne and Craig (Invercargill), Karyn and the late Con (Hari Hari). Loved Pop of Steph, Jesse and Ricole, Jorja, Andrew and Nell; Bevan and Alana, Katie and Jonno, Ollie and Anna, and grand pop of Passion. Loved brother of Ian and the late Marilyn, the late Murray and Margaret, Molly and Jack, Bette and Jim, brother-in-law of Allan and the late Jan. A loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and a good friend to many. MORRISON, Lindsay John:
Passed away suddenly Friday, May 5, 2023. Loved and respected brother-in-law of John (dec) and Beth Leighton, Melva and John Meyer (both dec), Keith and Barbara Leighton, Valerie and Robert Lithgow, Murray and Colleen Roberts and Stephen and Margie Roberts and all his nieces and nephews.

On May 3, 2023, peacefully at St Albans Lifecare, Christchurch, after a brave battle with cancer, in his 75th year. Much loved father and father-in-law of James and Jayne (London), Simon and Amy (Melbourne), Katie and Nigel (Sydney), and a devoted Pops of Isla, and Freddie; Sadie, and Walter; Grace, and Henry. SMELLIE, Michael Peter (Mike):
At home in Dunedin, on Saturday, May 6, 2023; aged 61 years, surrounded by his loved ones. Husband and best friend to Claire (Austin), Dad to Cherry and Nic Hart, Joe, and Hannah Smellie, and Grandpo to Mikey, and Betty. Loved brother of Jenni and Hamish Dobbie, Tim and Ali, Matt and Ange Smellie. Teacher, Kaiako, Matua Kai and coach to many young people in Plimmerton, Porirua, Wellington, the Wairarapa, Australia and Dunedin. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held in Taieri College Performing Arts Centre at 11.00am, on Saturday, May 13, followed by private cremation.
