After a long and courageous battle, Rachel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday 30th May, aged 41 years. Dearly loved wife of Craig, treasured Mum of Ava and Lila. Adored and cherished daughter of Barry and Marian Allan and sister, sister-in-law and Aunty of Carly, Andrew, Stella, Sienna and Harper. Dearly loved daughter-in-law, sister in law and Aunty of Donna and Ronnie McDougall, Ranee, Sam, Lucia and Quinn. A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill, on Wednesday 5th June 10:30am. Private interment to follow. Suddenly passed away surrounded by his family at Southland Hospital, Invercargill on Friday the 31st May 2024. In his 69th year. Loved Father and Father In-Law of Alister and Ashley Barker, Sarah and Paul Lonneker, Gemma and Andrew Allen. Loved Son of William Verdun Barker* and Yvonne Varie Barker. Dearly Loved Brother of Robert Barker, Stephen Barker, Jill Barker, and Billie-Ann Gadd. Adored Grandfather and Great-Grandfather of all his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. A loved workmate and a friend of many. The family wish to express their thanks for the compassion and care given by his medical team.
