HAINES, Ox (Koe):
After a long illness, Ox was taken from us suddenly on Friday, 28th March 2025 whilst in the loving care of Rata Park Rest Home, Winton, in his 82 nd year. Dearly loved by his childhood sweetheart, Lesley. Loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Nikki, Toni and Stephen, and Nick and Jan. Adored Darn of his 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and his dog Bella. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Ox will be resting at his family home, 141 Oreti Street until his service which will be held in the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club, 154 Esk Street, Invercargill on Friday, 4th April at 11:00 am. The service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to Rata Park would be appreciated and maybe left at the service. It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing away of our loving Mother and Kui, in the loving care of the Resthaven Care Home staff, on Friday March 28, 2025. Loved wife of the late John Hape Tepu. Cherished Mother and mother-in-law and Moko and Moko’s of Gaylene and Jacko*, and Danny*, Julius and Erin, Shania and Ben; Ange and Mark*, Colin, Ray and Laura; Donna and Verdon, John and Erin, Alan and Juanta, Jacko and Monica; Edwina and Graeme, Selina*, Amy and Matt; Avrill and Tracy, Stuart, Courtnee and Mark, Brittney and Sam; Russel and Mariann, Marla, Mika, and Elai; David and Rangi, Te Manawa, Deana, and Rawiri. Loved by her moko’s and mokmoko’s. (*Denotes deceased).
A Special Thank you to all the staff at Resthaven who lovingly took care of our mum and grandmother over the past 14 years. All who wish to pay their respects to Mum are welcome at the Aurora Funeral Home from Monday March 30 until Saturday March 5. A Private Whanau graveside service will be held at the Riversdale Cemetery.
