Peacefully, at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, aged 101 years. Dearly loved wife of *Ernie, mother to *Kathryn and George Smith, Janet and *Hugh Orr, Hugh and Kathie Gardyne, Marie and *Mike Cannon, Robin and Jenny Gardyne, and Gran to 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of *Bill and *Doris Thayer, Henry and *Meriel Thayer, loved sister-in-law of *Edna and *Dave Lawlor, *George and *Isobel Gardyne, *Elsie and *Ernie Black, *Jim and *Phyllis Gardyne, *Gordon and *Dorothy Gardyne, *Bert and *Ada Gardyne, *Alec and *Celia Gardyne, and a much loved Auntie to all her nieces and nephews.

Of Alexandra, formerly of Invercargill, passed peacefully on Thursday 26 September, 2024 aged 89. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law of David and Julia, Diane and Roger Bell; loved grandmother of Ross and Jennifer, and Monique and James Thompson; Peter and Danielle, Amanda and Warrick Morris, Emma and Jayden Philpott, Donna and Duncan Finlayson; and loved great-grandmother of her four great-grandchildren. Loved sister of of Carolyn MacPherson (Scotland). A service of remembrance will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Thursday 3 October at 2pm followed by private cremation. Of Golden View Village, Cromwell. Peacefully after a long illness at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde, on September 26, 2024, in his 87th year. Dearly loved husband of Jill, eldest brother and brother-in-law of Hugh and Elizabeth (Invercargill), Jules and Jennifer (Lake Hayes), Richard and Annie (Queenstown), and loved Uncle to Michael (Te Anau), Richard (Christchurch), Janet (Calgary), Joanne (Perth), Ruth (Wellington) and Penelope (Tekapo); Suzanne (France) and Angus (Queenstown); Louis (Queenstown), Annielle (France) and Pierre (Sunshine Coast). Loved step-father and father-in-law to Chrys (Clyde), Phil and Rose (Hokitika), and Robyn and John (Cromwell). Beloved of his 22 grand nieces and nephews, his 11 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. A service for Clif will be held at the Cromwell Presbyterian Church, 10 Elspeth Street, on Wednesday, October 2, at 2.00pm.
