Peacefully at Hospice Southland, on Friday, January 20, 2023. Aged 73 years. In loving memory of a wonderful lady. Adoring wify of Grumpy (Bill). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Geordie and Kelly, Aaron and Kristy, Jared*, and Jolene and Derek Ballantine. Cherished Nan of Brinn, Ailie, Lochlan, Jayden, Isobel, and Emily. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ron* and Betty Clark, Bob and Gail* Clark, Brian and Judy* Clark. Loved sister-in-law of Elsie and Fred Shepard (UK). Loved aunt of her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to District Nurses and Hospice Southland for their care of Lyn. Please wear colourful clothing to Lyn’s celebration of her life held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, at 1.30pm on Wednesday, January 25. Private cremation to follow. KEAN, Marie Frances, (nee Houlihan):
Peacefully with her loving family by her side at home, after a courageous battle aged 76 years on 21 January 2023. Dearly loved wife of Brian for 50 years, loved Mum of Juliana; Nicola; Bernadette and Brendan Paisley; Patrick and Rickie-Lee Kean (Brisbane). Much loved Nana of Josh, and Dylan Garama; Alex, Amelia, and Ashton Paisley; and Lucas Kean.  Special friend of Annabelle Paisley. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Pat and Marg Houlihan; Erin and Tom Forde; Steve and Janet Houlihan.  Loved Aunty of all her nieces and nephews.

SPOONER, Steven Maxwell (Spinner):
On January 20, 2023, passed with dignity at home. Best friend and loved partner of Annie, much loved son of the late Max and Denise Spooner (Te Anau), loved brother of Lauren Warwick, John, Allan, and Michael Spooner, Ramona Holt, and Elma Marurai. Much loved by all the Trengrove extended family, and a highly respected friend and colleague of many. A service to celebrate Spinner’s life will be held in the Corbridge Estate Woolshed, 707 Wanaka Luggate Highway, Wanaka, at 2.00pm on Thursday, January 26.
