Passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday 17th October 2024, with family by his side. Dearly loved husband of Nancy, for 58 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Sarah and Selim Bas (Dunedin), and Simon and Janet (Invercargill). Treasured Grandad of Jem (Australia), and Danielle. Loved brother-in-law of Neil Connelly (Ashburton), and Margaret Jamieson. Sincere thanks to the team at Hospice Southland for their wonderful care of Euan. A service to celebrate Euan’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Tuesday 22nd October at 2pm. Peacefully, at Gore Hospital, on Friday, October 18, 2024, aged 79 years. Dearly loved Dad of Rachel, Lisa and Greg Scott, Alana and Stephen Harrison, and Ayla Walters, dearly loved by Netta, and Ruby, much loved father figure of many, cherished Grandad of all his grandchildren, loved son of Bill* and Ranee* Lawton, and brother of John*, Glenda, and Barbara*, loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. McDONALD, Robert:
Peacefully, at Resthaven Care Home, Gore, on Friday, October 18, 2024. Aged 59 years. Dearly loved son of the late Archie and Olive McDonald, ex 'Fassifern' Tapanui. Dearly loved special brother of his six older sisters, Anne (Gore), Trish (Waimate), Jill (Timaru), Sue (Balclutha), Christine (Tapanui), and Noeline (Tapanui), loved Brother-in-law of John Houliston, Peter Davis, the late David Pearce, Mike Hurring, Mark Chalmers, and Trevor Young. Loved Uncle, Great Uncle, and Great Great Uncle, and friend of all his housemates and carers over the years with Idea Services, Gore. A Service for Robbie will be held in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Friday, October 25 at 1.00pm, followed by afternoon tea, thereafter interment at Tapanui Cemetery. McEWAN, Wayne ‘Ox’:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne McEwan ‘Ox.’ Wayne passed away peacefully on Thursday October 17, 2024, after a short illness surrounded by his loved ones. Wayne is a much-loved partner of Ann, a loved and cherished father to Shannon and Meredith, Bradley and Kirsten (Omakau), Kylie and Rei (Te Anau) whom he shared with Karen, along with his adored grandchildren Kacee, Leah, Harry, Jack, Cooper, and Oscar. Special loved Stepfather to Sam and Zach (Dunedin) and Emma (Christchurch).
Son of the late May and Ron McEwan and loved brother of Diane and Julie and uncle to all his nieces and nephews. “71 to 73” “73” “Clear Leah Lodge” “Over and Out” A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Transport World, Tay Street, Invercargill on Friday 25 October at 11am. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Southland Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated by Wayne's family.
