Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 9.30pm in Christchurch, with her loving family. Nell was born in Riverton on September 6, 1930, (93 years old), lived in various parts of Southland where her heart was, and in Christchurch. Loving mother of Doug, Gayle, Bev, and Karen, and dearly loved by her sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nell will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Nell’s life is being held on Thursday, April 4, at 1.00pm, at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch. Surrounded with love, Mavoura passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Dearly loved and loving wife of Brian and the late Ian Thomson. Dearly loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Chris and Viva, Ron and Diana, Dianne and the late Lindsay, and Tony. Dearly loved Nan and Nanny Toot of Michelle and Shannon, Angela Thomson; Heath and Andrea Thomson; The late Brian, Daniel and Ashlee Keith Loved and loving Great Nan and Nanny Toot of Chloe, Hunter and Cooper Thomson, Jack and Oliver Keith. Loved youngest daughter of Thomas and Sarah Dillon and the extended Dillon family. Loved family member of the Thomson family. Dearly loved sister-in-law of the Croot family. Of Wanaka. Passed away peacefully in Aspiring Enliven Care Home on Friday, March 29, 2024. Aged 93 years. Dearly loved wife of the late George, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Alister and Jane, Lynette and Keith Park, Janice and Neville Millar, Gary and Lois, Lindsay and Linda, David and Mary-Lou, very special nana and great-nana to her 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Upper Clutha Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A special thank you to the staff at Elmslie Enliven, Aspiring Enliven, Wanaka Medical Centre and Dunstan Hospital for their compassion and care of Vera. A private service will be held.
