Peacefully at Resthaven on the 10th of November 2023. Aged 100 years and 8 months surrounded by her loving family. Lived all of her life at Riversdale. Beloved eldest daughter of Tom and Molly Hodge of Riversdale. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Harry* and Jean (Geraldine) Sylvie and Bob Laughton (Blenheim) Loved wife of Eric. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of John and Colleen (Cromwell), Judy and Richard (Ardlussa), Irene and Kevin (Waikaka), Bill and Mandy (Waikaka). Adored Gran of Joc and Owen, Chris and Leigh, Mark and Sonia, James and Rosie, Jacqui, Anita, Natalie and Michael, Gemma and Sandy, Claire, Olivia, Luci and Tom. Great Gran to Kaylee, Oli, Blaine, Rylan, Ashlyn, Charlie, Albie, Archie and Maisy. Life member of Riversdale Golf Club, Margaret was also involved in numerous community and sport groups in the area. Peacefully, and in his own time at Ribbonwood Country Home, Tapanui on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Dearly loved and best friend of the late Shirley (Shirby), devoted Dad and father-in-law of Wanda and Daryl Whipps, Carl and Mel, and Donna (Dee), adored Grandad of Brittney and Shea; Alex and Hayley; Jodie, Shayden and Ashlee; Jake and Lauren and their partners, special great-Grandad of Skyla, Harvey, Weston, Lily and Lucas, special Big Charlie to little Charley, Stella and Alex. Cherished brother of Ken and Judy Michelles, the late Valerie, Jack and Claire, Diane and the late Norman Glennie; Rex, Dianne and the late Brenda; Oscar and Linda; Ewan and Glenda; Colin and Jen McDonald, and the late Glenys Cook, friend of Kayleen, and loved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
