COURNANE, John Boyd:
On September 8th 2023, in the care of the amazing Calvary Team, from which he had recently retired, John passed away surrounded by love. So dearly loved by his Partner Lou and his late wife Janeece. Dearly loved and treasured father, father in law, stepfather and friend of Leisa and Guy, Richard and Julie, Maria and Shane, the late Rachel, Teri, and Nicole and Brent. Fun, supportive and much loved Grandad of Mac and AJ; Georgia, Harry and Maggie; Kaius and Mason; Paige and Alie and little Archie. A service for John will be held at St Mary’s Basilica, Tyne Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday September 13th at 1pm, to be followed by a private cremation. John will be lying at our home, 84 Margaret Street until his funeral. Passed away peacefully at home in Manapouri, on Friday 8th September 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Aged 65 years. Dearly loved husband of Lila, much loved father and father-in-law of Carla and Jono Eagle, Marcus and Meghan, and Brendon. Adored Gee-man of Lucy and Elliot. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Gwennyth and Hamish Grimm, Eric and Elizabeth Roy, Gavin and Irene Roy, Lois* and Wally Hannam, and families. A service to celebrate Colin’s life will be held at 11am on Friday 15th September at the Fiordland Community Events Centre, 20 Luxmore Drive, Te Anau, followed by a private interment at the Lynwood Park Cemetery. Terri, Justine, Lee, Dean, Olivia, Tasha, and Hone would like to let whanau and friends know that on Saturday 9 September 2023, our beloved, adored and beautiful Mother, Nanny, Sister, and Aunty passed peacefully in the presence of Whanau. Our Matriarch will be laying at Nga Hau E Wha Marae from 11.00am Monday 11 September, where she will spend the night, then have a service at 11.00am Tuesday 12 September then taken for private cremation. Everyone is then invited back to Nga Hau E Wha for Hakari at 2.00pm.
