McLEARY, Mitchell Douglas - It is with heavy hearts, we announce the tragic loss of our beloved Mitch, in Cromwell, on Monday, March 10, 2025, aged 26 years. PATRICK, Noelean Brenda (nee Hammond):
It is with great sadness that Noelean passed away on Monday 17th March 2025 surrounded by her family. Dearly loved wife of the late Gordon. Cherished Mum and mother-in-law of Catherine and Bruce Swain, Alister* and Lois*, and Robbie*. Amazing Nana of Sarah, Steven; Oliver, Jessica and super Nan Nan of Ruby, Andrew; Spencer, and Blaire. Loved sister and sister-in-law of her extended families. A service to celebrate Noelean's life will be held in the Winton Presbyterian Church, Meldrum Street, Winton on Monday 24th March at 1.30pm followed by a burial at East Winton Cemetery. STANAWAY, Leonard Douglas - Maureen is heartbroken to announce the death of her beloved husband, Doug (80), at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde, on Friday, March 14, 2025. Doug was so loved and cherished by his family: his son David (deceased) and Claire Stanaway (Sydney); daughter Donna, and Steve Elkington (Nelson): and youngest daughter Sharyn, and Lee Woodhouse (Oamaru); as well as his adored grandchildren, Sarah and Lauren Stanaway, Oliver and James Elkington, and Jordan, Matthew, Michael, and Daniel Woodhouse. Doug was widely known for his strong work ethic and exceptional DIY skills. He served as the manager of Great Southern in Oamaru for 35 years. A true community-minded individual, Doug made significant contributions to the Oamaru and Alexandra Catholic Churches and the Oamaru Heritage area. His passions included music, tramping, camping, old-time sequence dancing, and cruising out for a coffee in his cherished MGC.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Killarney Street, Alexandra, on Friday, March 21, starting at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Alexandra Cemetery. Refreshments will be served at the Alexandra District Club, 35 Centennial Avenue. Messages may be sent to 45 Aronui Road, Alexandra. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Heart Foundation would be appreciated.
