ROSS, Shona:
Slipped away peacefully, after a short illness, with family by her side, to be with Len, on Thursday, August 17, 2023. In her 87th year. Dearly loved wife and friend of Len for 64 years. Much loved and respected Mum and mother-in-law of Pam and Ken Mitchell (Te Anau), Garry and Valerie (Gore), Dawn (Gore). Loved Grandmother of Leigh and Tomas, Jade and Tony, Sean and Tina, Michael and Alex; Wendy and Garth, Lisa, and Warren. Loved Great-Grandmother of Oscar and Audrey; Leo; Anna, and Hunter; Olivia, Emma and Ross. “A gracious lady and friend to many”. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Gore Hospital for their compassion and care. A memorial service for Shona will be held in the Gore RSA Function Lounge, Bowler Avenue, on Monday, August 21, at 2.30pm. A private interment has been held. Formerly of Mandeville. Soulmate of Gaye, loving father and father-in-law of Jason and Erica Toogood, Vicki and Scott Ramsay, Carla and Nick Elliott, treasured Poppa T of Ted and Olive; Brianna, Kyle, Aiden and Blake.
