Date of death 25th October 2024. A service to remember Simon will be held in the St Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Nightcaps on Friday 1st November 2024 at 12 noon. Following the service Simon will be laid to rest at the Wreys Bush Cemetery.
RODGERS, Christine Louise (nee Campbell):
It is with much sadness we advise Christine passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Hospice Southland after a brave and courageous battle with MND, aged 57. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Bruce. Much loved and amazing Mum of Josh and Courtney. Loved daughter of Niall* and Joy* and daughter-in-law of Bill* and Joan* Rodgers. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Anne and Ross Taylor, Jamie* and Sandra* Campbell, Kathryn Campbell, Helen and Don Thompson, Lynette and Michael* McLees. A much-loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Hospice Southland for their care and support.
A service to celebrate Christine's life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday, 1 November at 1:30pm followed by private cremation.
A long time staff member of E Hayes Giftware Dept. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and can be made at the service. YOUNG, Geoffrey Derrick (Geoff):
With dignity and grace Geoff passed away surrounded by the love of his whanau on Tuesday 29 October 2024; aged 71 years. Dearly loved and admired husband of Trish, much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Justin and Senio, Jody and Kody, and Dan and Amy. Adored “papa” to Sascha and Kieran, Breyton, Taneko and Connor, Manaia and Tama, Te Riria, Deacon, Lochie, Van and Harper, and great papa to Theo, and Taika. Loved brother of Jim and Janet, Bill*, Andrew and Sandra, and a respected uncle to his nieces and nephews. Geoff will lie at Te Rau Aroha Marae Bluff from Wednesday 30 October. A service to celebrate Geoff’s life will be held at the Marae on Friday 1 November at 11.00am, private cremation will follow.
