Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Hospice Southland. Loved husband of Shirley for 54 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Kim and Craig Ashton, Glenn and Jacq, Alister and Nikki, Desiree and Tom Bolton. Loved Grandad of Caitlin and Reign, Emma and Daniel, Megan; Reilly, Erin, James; Ashley, Matthew; Quinn, Ariana and Kayla. Passed away peacefully in the care of Highfield Lifecare, Timaru, on March 2, 2025; aged 95 ½. Very dearly loved mum and mother-in-law of Peter and Linda, Grant and Esme, and Wendy and the late Allan. Cherished Nana "Chook" of Allan and Marketa, Sam and Laura; Ella and Sam, Joe and Lea; and great nana of Maddie, Adam, and Riley. Loved partner of the late Fred. Loved sister, sister-in-law and aunty to her extended families. A service to celebrate Chook's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel 160 Mountain View Road Timaru on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.
