Surrounded by his loving family at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home, on Sunday 2 February 2025. Aged 88 years. A true blue husband of his adored late wife Noeline. Devoted and loved father and father-in-law of Karen and Peter Cowan (Winton), Joanne and Bruce Dickens (Ingill), Delwyn and Bill Carey (Oporo), Jason and Jackie Gray (Wallacetown). Loved Gramps of Nick and Sarah, Scott and Casey, Paige and Brayden; Anton and Bailee, Cruze and Liana, Abby and George; Liam and Lydia; Tamati and Rina, Tara and Maloni. Loved Great Gramps of Nathan, Myles, Jorge, McKenna, Henry, Ivy, Sienna, Emerson, Nahla, Bella, Jerome, Bailee-Rose, Roman, and Keanu. Pam passed peacefully on Wednesday 22nd January aged 79 years. Dearly loved Mum and Mother in law of Keryn and Craig Hickman, Rohan Welsh and Lachlan Welsh. 16/11/1947 – 04/02/2025. On Tuesday, 4 February, following a short illness, Jan passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland surrounded by her family. Dearly loved and cherished wife of Des; loving mother and mother-in-law of Mat and Anna, Tim and Miwa; dotting Nana of Holly, Toby, and Aya; loved sister and friend of Sheryll and Lyndsay*, John* and Rowena Scott, Shari and Brett McLean; loving sister and sister-in-law of all the Spriggs and Popham families. A service to celebrate Jan’s life will be held on Saturday, 8 February, at Ascot Park Hotel, commencing at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated.
