BURKE, Brian:
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Michael Burke, on January 7, 2025, aged 78, in Queenstown. Beloved husband of Fay Burke (deceased), devoted father and father-in-law of Regan and Belinda, and Karla and Jackson, cherished grandfather of Camden, Harper, Mila, and Brooke. He was a dear brother to Erin, Patrick, and John (deceased), adored uncle to both the Burke and Wilson nieces and nephews.
Brian was loved and respected by many and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 6.30pm, followed by a Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 15 at 11.00am at St Joseph's Church, 41 Melbourne Street, Queenstown. Sage passed unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday 6th January 2025 at Moa Creek aged 17 years. Dearly loved and adored son of Tony and Chandra. Greatest brother in the world of Leon and Lara. Adored grandson of Wallace and Francis Harrington (Te Anau), William and Miriama Petersen (Rotorua). Loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beautiful mum surrounded with great love, care and compassion from the wonderful staff at Margaret Wilson Hospital in Timaru. Dearly loved wife of the late Ian, much loved mum and mum-in-law of George (Ian) (dec), and Jan (Blenheim), Paul (dec), and Debbie, and Keri and Chad (Temuka). Very much loved nana to her grandkids and great-grandkids. As per mum's wishes, she has been cremated and her ashes mixed with those of her beautiful husband and they will once again be together dancing in each other's arms to Kiss an Angel Good Morning by Charlie Pride.

Died peacefully in Central Otago on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Aged 81. Remembered as an amazing father, golfer, storyteller; and for his comedy and career as a sales coach. Beloved brother of Paul and Barbara and preceded in death by sisters Lynne and Kay, and wife Margaret. Geoff retired to Aspiring Village Wānaka where he embraced connecting people.
