Some Bluff residents may be without water after a mains failure in the town
this morning.
Water Manager Alister Murray said recovery of the system had not happened
as quickly as anticipated after the main was repaired about 11.30am.

Some residents in Pilcher Avenue, and in upper areas of Lagan Street and
Bann Street may still be without water because more air entered the system
than anticipated as a result of the failure.

Council has provided a water tanker in the upper Lagan Street area for
residents to collect water if required.

Council staff were working to remove air from the system, Mr Murray said.
