Waikiwi Gardens Rest Home launched their Day Stay service this morning with Invercargill City Councillor Darren Ludlow attending the official opening.

Waikiwi Gardens Rest Home Denzil and Kate Travers with Jaime Queale from Southern Cross Produce.

whatsoninvers.nz is always keen to support great community initiatives; we popped out and were pretty blown away by the community support.

Southern Cross Produce donated boxes of fresh produce and a large donation of meat was provided by a local meat company Southern City Meats for the BBQ.

The programme, organised by owners Denzil and Kate Travers, will run on a Tuesday and Thursday every week, with activities on a four-week rotational programme.
