Venom & Hokonui Fashion Design Awards Exhibition launched

We were lucky enough to get an invite to the opening of the Venom & Hokonui Fashion Design Awards exhibition at Southland Museum & Art Gallery.

Fashion and hair collide in this unique collaboration of two iconic Southern brands.

This exhibition features previous top-level award winning garments from the Hokonui Fashion Award Show. Fashion items in this display have been selected from garments featured in the Award Show since 1990.

This is a fascinating look at evolving New Zealand runway fashion over the last twenty-six years, with an eclectic range of materials and styles. Alongside these garments, the artistic and innovative hair creations of Adrian Barclay are featured in photographs.

His hair collections have graced the cover of worldwide magazine publications and this selection clearly demonstrates why Adrian has fast become New Zealand’s hairdressing rock star.
