Twenty-eight lucky Lotto players are celebrating tonight after each winning $11,108 in Lotto Second Division during the live draw. Among them is a ticket holder from Invercargill, who bought their winning ticket at New World Elles Road. This follows the Invercargill Celebrates $1 Million Lotto Win on Saturday 7th February.
However, the biggest celebrations will be in Paparaumu, Masterton and Greymouth. Three Powerball players from those towns have each won an incredible $5.08 million with Powerball First Division. The Valentine’s Day draw has delivered a life-changing surprise for the trio.
The winning Powerball tickets were sold at Coastlands Lotto in Paraparaumu, New World Greymouth in Greymouth, and on MyLotto to a player from Masterton. Each prize includes $5 million from Powerball First Division and an additional $83,333 from Lotto First Division.
Tonight’s result marks the third Powerball win of the year. It comes just over three weeks after an Otago family claimed $5.3 million, continuing what has already been a remarkable start to 2026 for Lotto players.
Nine other Lotto players have also secured significant wins, each taking home $83,333 with Lotto First Division. Their winning tickets were sold at Mirrabooka Superette in Auckland, Four Square Waiau Pa in Pukekohe, Pak n Save Thames in Thames, Woolworths Cambridge in Cambridge, Fresh Choice Te Awamutu in Te Awamutu, and Four Square Ashhurst Village in Palmerston North. Additional winning tickets were purchased on MyLotto by players from Whangarei, Auckland and Nelson.
Meanwhile, a Strike player is also celebrating after winning $700,000 with Strike Four. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Southmall Lotto Kiosk in Auckland, adding to the night’s string of happy winners.
With prizes spread across the country, Lotto officials are urging anyone who bought their ticket from the listed stores to check as soon as possible. Tickets can be checked in-store, online through MyLotto, or via the MyLotto App.
For many, this Valentine’s Day will be remembered not for flowers or chocolates, but for a phone call, a ticket check, and the thrilling realisation that their numbers have come up.
