Two Wonderful Voices Gone – Olivia Newton-John, Judith Durham

Sad, sad news so early in the week with the passing of two wonderful women of song, Dame Olivia Newton-John and Judith Durham.

For me the news of the passing of both singers came out of left field although both have had health issues in latter days.

But both made a huge impact around the world. Judith Durham being the iconic voice of The Seekers and Olivia New-John becoming a mega-star when she was partnered with John Travolta in the movie Grease from the late 70’s.

Just think of all the wonderful hits that came from Grease.

Let’s not forget all the wonderful songs that The Seekers recorded back in the 60’s and the concert success’s around the world.

I went to a Seekers reunion show at the old Civic (what a dive it was back then!)back in the early 90’s if memory serves correctly. Sunday night and sold out. Just listening to them you would swear that you were listening to the original recordings . That’s how good they were. Were you there?
