Early this morning (Saturday 4th May) at about 2:30am on the corner of Crinan and Clyde Streets two men were assaulted in. Both men were taken to Southland hospital with varying injuries.
One man with cracked ribs has been released from hospital, the second suffered more serious injuries including needing teeth aligned and broken jaw wired up and will undergo surgery on Sunday.
A second assault took place overnight on Ettrick Street, where one person reported being assaulted by three others. The victim sustained what appear to be moderate injuries. Police were called about 9am this morning to Southland Hospital to take a report from the victim, and are making enquiries.
