The numbers are in for one of the biggest New Zealand lottos draws after Powerball jackpotted to $40 million.

The winning numbers were 29, 27, 37, 18, 33 and 3. The bonus number was 36 and the Powerball was 7.

Three lucky punters have won a $13.3 million share of Lotto’s record-breaking $40 million Powerball tonight.

Three players from Te Awamutu, Dunedin and Hamilton have just won a $13.3 million share of a record $40 million Powerball jackpot.

In tonight’s Must Be Won draw, there were no Powerball First Division winners, so the jackpot rolled down to the Second Division, where there were three winners.

The winning tickets were sold at Oparau Roadhouse in Te Awamutu, Pak N Save Dunedin and on MyLotto to a player from Hamilton.

Each prize is made up of $13.3 million from Powerball First and Second Divisions.

“With the largest jackpot on offer, more players than ever were in to win,” said Emilia Mazur, GM, Corporate Communications.

“It feels like just about everyone in the country was talking about Powerball and imagining how good it would feel to win, and now these lucky players are about to find out.”

Due to phenomenal draw sales, Strike Four also reached a Must Be Won draw tonight. The jackpot was won by two lucky players in Auckland and Waipapa who both won Strike Four to take home $405,792 each.

The winning Strike tickets were sold at Farmcove Superette in Auckland and Waipapa Dairy in Waipapa.

Seven Lotto players from Gisborne, Tokoroa, and Auckland won a $142,857 share of Lotto First Division. The winning Lotto tickets were bought from the following stores:

“These lucky players aren’t the only ones winning, as almost half a million prizes have been won by ticket-holders all over the country in tonight’s Lotto draw,” said Emilia Mazur.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
