Three Juveniles Involved in Yarrow Street BB Gun Scare Referred to Youth Services
Police were called to Yarrow Street earlier today following reports of three males carrying what appeared to be firearms. Police were notified at 12.55pm and officers promptly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, police were able to locate the three individuals in question and upon further investigation, it was discovered that the weapons in question were, in fact, BB guns. The police confirmed that there were no real firearms involved in the incident.
Following the discovery of the BB guns, the three young males were referred to youth services for further action. The police did not release any information about the identities or ages of the youths.
The police thanked the members of the public who had reported the incident and encouraged others to remain vigilant and report any concerns to the authorities as soon as possible.
