A unique collection of thousands of caps from around the world is set to go on sale as part of this year’s Rotary Club of Invercargill Annual Book Sale.
Richard from the Rotary Club said the massive collection was donated from an estate and is believed to include several thousand caps gathered from across the globe.
“These have been donated to us by an estate and they’ve come from a fairly large collection, estimated to be probably quite a few thousand anyway, and they’re from all around the world,” he said.
Rotary decided to include the caps in this year’s sale to see if book sale shoppers would also be interested in picking up a collectible bargain.
“It was a donation that we thought we should try, just to see whether there’s any appetite by the book customers to perhaps purchase one,” Richard said.
The caps will be available for just $2 each.
Alongside the huge range of books, visitors will also find DVDs, vinyl records, puzzles and plenty of hidden treasures at the annual fundraising event.
The 2026 Rotary Club of Invercargill Book Sale takes place at the Scottish Hall:
This year’s major recipient of the sale funds is the Ngā Kete Mātauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust.
