Invercargill Central has over 13,000 people visiting the new shopping centre every week, with several new businesses opening in recent weeks.
Marketing manager Rebecca Sheppard said the opening of EB Games and The Coffee Club were both met with much great excitement, and great support from the Southland community.
“Having food open at Invercargill Central is giving our visitors a wonderful opportunity to sit, refuel and enjoy the beautiful space”.
Just Cuts opened last Thursday 6th Oct, and Cotton On Mega opened on Thursday and Flawless Face and Beauty will open soon to complete the first stage of retailers in the new development.
As would be expected, Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days with over 3000 people visiting each day, she said.
“Our foot traffic will only increase as we open more stores and get closer to the Christmas trading period”.
Invercargill Central has also launched a new ‘rewards’ app as part of a loyalty programme for the shopping centre.
Customers can earn points by shopping at the different retailers and then using those points for rewards, promotions and exclusive competitions.
“Our rewards app allows us the opportunity to connect with and thank customers who shop regularly at Invercargill Central. We have lots of fun activities and prizes in the pipeline, so it is definitely worth downloading and getting involved.”
The latest confirmed retailers opening between now and the end of November includes:
Just Cuts, Cotton On Mega, Flawless Face & Beauty, Hallensteins, Barkers, Max, Lovisa, The Cosmetic Clinic, Starbucks, Sal’s Pizza, Reburger and Wing Wing Korean Street Food.
