Topp Twin mania will hit INVERS at the Civic Theatre on Wednesday night!
Well-loved NZ entertainers Lynda and Jools Topp are set to embark on a 13 venue national tour that begins in Invercargill.

We had a chat to Jools about what to expect from the show and the exciting new bunch of entertaining characters we can expect to see on the night.
She first explains how “Grand Ole Topp’ry” is based on the Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.
“We wish to pay respect to the legends of country music who have gone before us and also acknowledge the next generation of musicians who have, like us, been inspired, by past greats,” she says.
On the night expect to see new characters including Tammy Wire-Netting, The Buck Brothers a pair country bumpkins who like their country life, dress badly and have weird teeth, plus the Kens will be here too.

“Our take on the Grand Ole Opry (Topp’ry) will celebrate country music’s diversity and will be a night of rollicking good fun, foot-stomping music to live by, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
“Linda and I love touring NZ it’s our Route 66 and especially starting from Invercargill and work our way up the country you love country music down there.”
She says old school country music is making a resurgence, retro old sounding and you can even expect some yodelling.
On the night special guests include:
The Jonnys an all girl Johny Cash band with guest Tami Neilson and locals”Into The East” (Liv McBride & Graeme Woller) will join the twins on stage to perform a few numbers with them.
Liv says “They’re the darlings of NZ country music, we grew up with them in front of us on our TV screens, so to have their vote of confidence feels pretty damn special”.
