Jealousy, mistaken identity, fights and duels and cross dressing – all in a public park. Who could ask for more? Its all coming in one package, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
The cast has been chosen and rehearsals are underway for Shakespeare in the Park 2016.
The classically funny play is to be directed by Jonathan Tucker who brings decades of directorial experience to this year’s Shakespeare in the Park.

Twelfth Night is one of the great comedy plays by Shakespeare, Viola, cross dresses and takes the man’s name of Cesario. Viola enters the service of the Duke of Illyria, Orsino who longs for the love of a neighbouring countess. Viola (Cesario) then falls in love with Orsino. The plot features jealousy, mistaken identity, cross dressing as well as fights and duels.
The production is produced by Venture Southland in association with the Shakespeare in the Park Charitable Trust and will be performed in Queen’s Park from February 9 to 13, 2016. The annual summer production is now in its 16th year.
