Summer Sounds Bluff This Sunday

Summer Sounds Bluff is back for 2025 with three acts ready to perform at Argyle Park in Bluff this Sunday (26 January).

Invercargill duo Hō & Hā consisting of Cedric Blair (Hō) and Terence O’Brien (Hā) will be first on stage at 2pm. They are an energetic act mixing classic hits and dance bangers. Inspired by Tūī Teka, Bob Marley, and the Eagles, they blend humour, culture, and a love for entertaining which they bring to every performance.

Bluff’s own Darcy Kerr will be next up and always provides a repertoire that includes some familiar covers, some bangers and a few originals. A Bluff local who has appeared at Summer Sounds Bluff many times, he was the 2020 Southland Musician Of The Year. His style of music covers a broad spectrum, including drum and bass, reggae, blues and dance.

BackChat, Bonnie Turner and Jo Anderson, round off the programme between 4pm and 5pm. Fun and festive or stylish and sophisticated BackChat bring it to the party. With hundreds of gigs in their respective CV’s Jo and Bonnie are experienced performers who know how to move and shake a crowd.

The concert, organised by Bluff Promotions, will commence at 2pm and should run for approximately three hours.

Argyle Park can be found by following State Highway 1 through Bluff and turning right at Gregory Street.

Summer Sounds is designed for audiences to bring the deck chair or blanket and enjoy songs that they know and love with perhaps the odd original thrown in.

There is no charge to attend but a Koha bucket will be available at the venue.

The event is smoke, vape and alcohol free.

Should the weather cause a cancellation a notification will be made on the Bluff Promotions facebook page on the morning of the event.
