Start It Kick Starts Bright Ideas In The South

COIN South’s Start It course is expected to turn bright ideas in the South into reality. The brand-new free course launched on Monday 29 June with over 50 participants signing up to the first cohort of the online course.
The first meet up on Monday morning at the COIN South hub was exciting for Lou Evans, COIN South’s Chief Activator who created the course content.
“All kinds of people have signed up for the course. We have the ideas people, and people wanting to learn more about start-ups, right through to existing businesses making sure they are on the right track”.
“The potential and enthusiasm for new ideas and new businesses is exciting. We can’t wait to see how it progresses and the ideas that come out of the course” Ms Evans added.
Since COIN South was created a year ago it has seen an abundance of Southlanders through its doors.
“Southlanders are traditionally understated but there is a wealth of creativity and amazing ideas in the regions. From high-end sustainable sleepwear to disruptive tech ideas. “
Rochelle Francis is launching a market garden concept in the depths of winter. She says the timing of the course is perfect. “A lot of people took stock during lockdown and decided to launch into new ventures.”
Start It will help Rochelle and other early-stage founders work through the startup process. “I’m impatient to get on and start, but I know I need a plan to get to market,” she says.
The course will conclude in August with a Popcorn Pitch evening on Thursday 13 August. Participants will be given the opportunity to provide a short pitch to cohort participants, friends, and family.
Start It is available for people to start at any stage. Head to coinsouth.thinkific.com to register.
