Today the two men who murdered 19-year-old Jack McAllister outside Stadium Southland last year were both given life prison sentences.
Stuff reported that Brayden Whiting-Roff and Christopher Brown were today sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder.
Laura Scheepers was sentenced to 12 months’ home detention after being found guilty of manslaughter.
Mr McAllister died from injuries suffered during an attack at Stadium Southland on 7th June last year. He was lured to Stadium Southland by the promise of sex by Laura Scheepers. It was there he suffered 14 stab wounds, including one which severed a major artery.
The two were found guilty, Christopher Brown of murder and Laura Scheepers of manslaughter by the eleven person jury in the Invercargill High Court on 7th September
While Natasha Ruffell, David Wilson and the 24-year-old woman with interim name suppression were found not guilty on all charges.
Two others Brayden Whiting-Roff, who fatally stabbed McAllister on the night in question, and a teenage woman with name suppression pleaded guilty to McAllister’s murder before the trial.
