Update: Now Open!

Due to a significant equipment failure, Splash Palace in Invercargill has been forced to close its doors until further notice.

In a statement posted on the Invercargill City Council Facebook page, the team said: “We’re working quickly to resolve the issues and hope to reopen at least some pools by Saturday or Sunday, depending on the progress of repairs.”

The only session still running today is the 10am swimming lesson in the Learners Pool. All other swimming lessons for today and tomorrow have been cancelled. The Council has confirmed that the Splash Palace team is actively contacting all affected families directly.

A Council spokesperson added: “We’ll keep you updated as things progress. Please follow Splash Palace page and check back there for the latest info.”

They also acknowledged the disruption, saying: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience as our team works hard to get back up and running safely.”

Further updates will be provided as repair work continues over the coming days.
