Drivers from around the world will once again descend on Teretonga Park, Invercargill, from 24-26 January next year as the annual Speedworks Events Motorsport NZ Premier Championship meeting takes place at the circuit.
Already six international drivers have been confirmed for the Castrol Toyota Racing Series with plenty more sure to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The range of countries represented on the grid this season is looking to be one of the most diverse ever with Axel Gnos (Switzerland), Lucas Petersson (Sweden), Rui Andrade (Angola), Amaury Cordeel (Belgium), Ido Cohen (Israel) and Jackson Walls (Australia) the drivers announced to date. This years Castrol Toyota Racing series will utilise the new FT60 chassis claimed to be bigger and faster than its predecessor the FT50.
All are currently competing in highly respected series around the world.
Also on a very exciting programme will be the second round of the TCR New Zealand Championship, an exciting new worldwide formula conceived in 2014 for which there are now series around the world. The cars are front wheel drive hatchbacks or sedans powered by production based turbocharged petrol or diesel engines up to 2 litres.
The programme will also include TR86, Formula 1600 and drifting with D1NZ making for a fantastic event for which full details will soon be available.
