Results from the 34th NZ Men’s Netball Nationals played at Te Rauparaha Arena this week. Southland had 2 teams for only the second time in the history of the event [both in B Grade]. Southland Gold came through the B Grade Round Robin play undefeated.

They won the Semi Final 33-28 over CHCH B and then, in a repeat of the first game of the tournament, won the Final 37-36 over Nelson in a nail biting encounter after being down most of the game. Team captain Logan Simpson won the Final MVP award.

Southland Maroon fought hard all week, securing 2 wins and some very close losses to finish 8th in B Grade and also picked up the Fair Play trophy.
