The Vantage Elite & U19 Track National Championships New Zealand’s premier national track cycling event started today Cambridge. This years event also includes the Elite & U19 Omnium and Open Madison and Para Championships.

First day of competition at the U19 and Elite track champs 8n Cambridge and it has been a great one with Elite IP, U19 Wmns 500tt, Elite Wmns 500tt, Kilo, and U19 scratch. We are very fortunate to have a great group of Southland Elites in our pit.

The finals results started with Emily Paterson first individual National gold in the U19 500tt, Tyla Green got Bronze in the same event.  Conor Shearing also gained his first individual National gold in Kilo, Nick Kergozou De La Boessiere, got Gold with a great ride in the Elite men’s Kilo. Kirstie Klingenberg (James) gained gold in an incredibly close Elite Wmns IP. Emily Paterson finished the day with a great silver in the U19 scratch race.

We have a great team, 8n the pit, supporting us and keeping the food up to our very hungry crew. Thanks for the messages of support an congratulations from home.

Results and info thanks to Nathan Shearing.
