The Southland Chamber of Commerce is excited to be moving to the Esk Street Mall end of the SIT Arcade in early July.
As part of the on-going strategic partnership the move brings with it a collaboration between the Chamber and SIT’s new ‘Business HUB’ also opened recently in the arcade.

“[SIT] is delighted to have the Chamber moving into the SIT arcade. Having the Chamber of Commerce on the main SIT campus for the past two years has been great in terms of developing synergies between our two organisations and creating links between businesses and our SIT graduates. There is so much to be gained in us all being co-located and working together as SIT strives to retain as many graduates in Southland as possible,” said Penny Simmonds SIT Chief Executive.
Southland Chamber of Commerce CEO Sheree Carey says given the organisation is here to support Southland business it makes sense for us to be located in the Inner City. It’s also a great way to increase the Chamber’s profile and a positive step for the Inner City to be filling the last vacant space within the arcade.
“The Southland Regional Development Programme will continue to work closely with the Chamber in these new premises, which, alongside the new SIT Business HUB, will combine for a great collaborative force,” she said.
