Seven fortunate Kiwis woke up as multi-millionaires today following last night’s Powerball draw. The substantial $50 million Must Be Won Powerball jackpot was divided among seven winners, each receiving a prize of $7.18 million. With no Powerball First Division winners, the jackpot rolled down to the Second Division.
Each winner will receive $7,155,649 from the combined Powerball First and Second Divisions, along with an additional $24,392 from the Lotto Second Division, bringing their total winnings to $7,180,041.
Invercargill missed out entirely, while in Southland, Lumsden claimed a $71,429 share of the Lotto First Division, and Balclutha secured $24,392 from the Lotto Second Division. Additionally, Strike Four was won last night by a player from Auckland, who took home $600,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Jalaram Dairy in Auckland.
