Two lucky Lotto players from Auckland and Canterbury will be enjoying an early Christmas celebration after each scoring $500,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live draw. The winning tickets were both sold online through MyLotto.

It wasn’t just First Division winners celebrating. A Southland player was one of eleven people to win $19,605 each with Lotto Second Division. One of those eleven also picked up a Powerball Second Division prize, increasing their total winnings to $33,740. That winning Powerball ticket was sold at New World Botany in Auckland.

Powerball itself wasn’t struck tonight and has rolled over to Saturday, with the jackpot climbing to $6 million.

Meanwhile, two Strike Four players are also celebrating a big win, each taking home $100,000. The winning Strike tickets were sold at Challenge Mt Albert and via MyLotto, both to players from Auckland.

Lotto NZ is encouraging everyone who bought tickets from any of these outlets—or through MyLotto—to check them as soon as possible in-store, online, or through the app.

Lotto NZ’s Christmas promotion is now live, with an extra $6 million in prizes up for grabs. This includes one prize of $1 million and 100 prizes of $50,000. All Triple Dip tickets bought between Sunday 14 December and 7.30pm Saturday 3 January will be entered into the draw.

Lotto NZ is also reminding the public that its products are popular festive gifts and should be given responsibly. “We know our products are a favourite festive gift, so we’re reminding customers to gift responsibly this Christmas by ensuring they’re only given to adults.”
