Last night Southern Pro Wrestling NZ put on a huge event at a sold out ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill.

WWE Superstar Travis Banks returned to New Zealand and reunited with his Tag Team partner TK Cooper to take on the team of the Deadly Sins for the SPW New Zealand Tag Team Champions. JK Moody & Kane Khan (Deadly Sins) retained their championships to a standing ovation from the 1,200 plus capacity crowd.

In what was a history making match up, Australia Champion Slex defeated New Zealand Champion ‘Hooligan’ Marcus Kool to become the first ever New Zealand and Australia joint Champion.

JK Moody defeated 19 other men in the Main Event over the top rope Southern Rumble match up to become the number one contender for both Championships and gets his opportunity in Melbourne, Australia this weekend.

The event was filmed for TVNZ DUKE and TVNZ On Demand to be broadcast in the near future. ‘Wrestling on the Edge of the World’ recently debuted on TVNZ DUKE and the 3 part series is currently available to watch via TVNZ On Demand.
