“We are all fine here,” he said.

Supermarket worker Clayton Gerrard told Fairfax armed police arrived at the store looking for the female victim.

Police told workers at the Dunn Rd dairy to go inside and lock the premises.

In a statement, police said they were following “strong lines of inquiry” and asked that people avoid the area if possible.

Those living in the area were asked to ensure their properties are secure, but police did not believe there was any danger to the public.
