The Summer Concert Tour is back for January 2026, with Greenstone Entertainment announcing an electrifying line-up of rock legends and local icons.

Leading the charge is the iconic Iggy Pop, widely known as the ‘Godfather of Punk’, who will be joined by the fierce and fearless Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. Australian favourites Hoodoo Gurus and Kiwi rock band ZED round out a line-up promising high-energy shows across the country.

The tour will kick off in Taupo at The Taupo Amphitheatre on Saturday, 24 January, during Auckland Anniversary Weekend. It then heads to Whitianga’s Sherriff Block Arena on Monday, 26 January, and wraps up at Wānaka’s Three Parks Outdoor Arena on Saturday, 31 January.

Greenstone Members get exclusive access to a 48-hour presale beginning at 8.00am on Tuesday, 21 October. A special locals-only presale also starts the same day at 9.00am, with tickets available at local information centres in Taupo, Whitianga, Pauanui, Queenstown and Wānaka. General public sales open Thursday, 23 October at 9.00am.

Greenstone Entertainment CEO Amanda Calvert shared her excitement about the line-up: “We know our Greenstone members and fans have been extremely patient while we have been actively working behind the scenes to secure a killer line-up for this summer, today we couldn’t be more excited to finally reveal the international artists and local stars who we truly feel will elevate our stage with their presence. Iggy Pop and Joan Jett are quite simply pure rock royalty; we are thrilled to welcome them back to Aotearoa, The ever charismatic Hoodoo Gurus and pop/rock hero’s ZED, we just know will have our audiences singing along to their many hits. It’s going to be such a special tour, we can’t wait to see you all again.”

Iggy Pop, still pushing boundaries after decades in the business, said, “I am knocked out by the chance to come and rock hard and enjoy the incredible summer in beautiful New Zealand; mountains, lakes, beaches and good times, oh hell yeah! I am bringing the world’s greatest rock band and a full bag of everything I know how to do, and the songs I can offer, from hard rock to rock pop.”

Joan Jett, known for her trailblazing role in rock, added, “I’m thrilled to be playing in New Zealand and performing for the fans there, really looking forward to it!”

The Hoodoo Gurus, still riding high on their 40th Anniversary celebrations, will be performing fan favourites like ‘What’s My Scene?’ and ‘Bittersweet’, while ZED returns with both classic hits and new material from their latest album Future Memory.
