These days its a surprise to see queues of people outside a shop or business, but once word got out that Burgerfuel were opening at 11am today, a cue started forming out front of the new Burger joint on the corner of Spey & Dee streets.

Situated in the heart of the city, on the corner of Dee and Spey Streets, BurgerFuel will be serving up their fresh gourmet offering to local burger lovers seven days a week, and are proud to be hiring ten local residents to run the store and deliver the full BurgerFuel experience to customers.
Nikki Soons, BurgerFuel New Zealand Brand Manager, comments, “Invercargill residents have been extremely vocal about their desire to see BurgerFuel open in their town, so we’re absolutely stoked to finally bring our fresh gourmet burgers to this city, and to get such a warm welcome! We can’t wait to get involved in the local community”.
The Invercargill is decked out in the new format interior featuring a fire place, along with new colour scheme, the Invers store is the most southern now after Christchurch (sorry Dunners people but you will have to wait)
The store features the latest in BurgerFuel interior design, whilst retaining the classic BurgerFuel engineered edge. Communal tables will make it the ideal destination for group and family dining and customers will be able to enjoy the sounds of Radio BurgerFuel, the brand’s very own global radio station, while they dine in.
BurgerFuel has been leading the charge on the gourmet burger scene for over 20 years, and Soons says the brand is “fiercely passionate about serving up only the most pure, highly nutritious, great tasting burgers”. She continues, “We’re constantly on the hunt for ingredients that are 100% natural, wholesome and healthy in order to serve up delicious burgers that our customers can feel great about eating”.
You get a whole of burger and will need what Burgerfuel call a “Doofer” to help eat it.
The extensive menu at BurgerFuel has choices for everyone, from free range chicken and 100% pure grass fed NZ beef burgers, through to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and low-carb options. Younger burger fans are catered for too, with dedicated kids’ meals and BurgerFuel activity packs to keep them occupied.
I decided to try the Bastard burger with chips and aioli.
How we rate it? 10/10 dam good burger, friendly staff, fast service.
