This is an URGENT notice to advise the Pyramid Bridge has collapsed. A 50 metre section has broken away and is travelling downstream on the Mataura River. Road closure signs are in place.
We are urging people to stay away from the river and any structures in the path of the debris.
There had been a build up of debris at the bridge today, due to the high water flow following yesterday’s heavy rainfall.
