Powerball was not struck on Wednesday evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $32 million.
“Saturday’s $32 million Powerball jackpot is one of the largest in New Zealand history,” said Kirsten Robinson, Senior Corporate Communications Manager at Lotto NZ.
“If a single player is lucky enough to win big on Saturday, they’ll be taking home the third largest Powerball prize ever won in New Zealand – it’s absolutely life-changing.”
The last time the Powerball jackpot was over $30 million was in November 2017 when the Powerball jackpot rolled over to $38 million. Two lucky players shared the $38 million Powerball jackpot, each taking home $19.1 million.
Meanwhile, four lucky Lotto players have each won $250,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw. The winning tickets were sold at the following stores:
Hutt City New World | Lower Hutt |
Masala’s & Alicetown Lotto | Lower Hutt |
Paper Plus Johnsonville | Wellington |
MyLotto | Canterbury |
Strike Four was not struck tonight and will be $1 million on Saturday, meaning it will be a Must Be Won draw. In a Strike Must Be Won draw, if no single Strike ticket wins First Division, the prize pool is added to the next highest division with a winner.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.
Lotto players can buy a ticket for Saturday’s $32 million Powerball draw from any Lotto retailer, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App. Due to the rugby on this weekend, Saturday night’s live Lotto draw will air on TVNZ 2 at 8pm.
